EPS29 Geofoam blocks and sheets were used to create the steps, tapered
bottom and sides of this swimming pool constructed on the 11th floor at
the Margaritaville Hollywood Resort in Hollywood, Florida. EPS is the
preferred material for filling voids and shaping pools when weight is a
factor. The EPS29 geofoam weighs less than 2 lbs per cubic foot but has
a compression strength of 10.9 psi @ 1% deformation making it the
perfect material for this application.
