This Horticultural Company in Mamaroneck, NY built decorative
planters at this studio office. The customer used Expanded Polystyrene Foam
blocks cut to size inside of the planters to create risers, and to get to
the proper level for the plants. The foam blocks are then easy to drop into
place and make the labor much faster and cleaner.
Expanded Polystyrene foam blocks are also used in this identical
application for Green Roof planters. The foam reduces a significant amount of
weight in place of soil being filled from the bottom to the top.
