Universal Foam Product's Leave-In-Place Riser Form System was developed to improve the quality and efficiency of constructing a theater or lecture hall or auditorium while improving the overall acoustics of the space. Prior to the introduction of L-I-P system which uses blocks of expanded polystyrene and preformed steel riser forms and brackets, theater seating was constructed using a steel framing system with corrugated metal pans for horizontal surfaces. This type of construction did not always provided the best acoustics.
By using EPS blocks for the basic construction, sound deadening is built into the system. The steel riser forms allow the contractor to start forming concrete at the top tier and move down, installing the concrete from top to bottom, maximizing utilization of the pump truck and improving the labor efficiency.
Universal ships EPS from locations through the United States and Canada making us local to almost everywhere. Call to discuss you next construction project.
