Universal Foam Products has worked with this contractor on many pool projects in the state of Florida. This project however was a little more unique and consisted of a fountain located in Independence Square Park. This park can be found in downtown Maitland, FL. Various sizes of EPS15 Geofoam blocks were used to create the different elevations inside the fountain before the rebar was installed and the gunite was poured. EPS15 Geofoam has a .9 lb per cubic foot minimum density and has a compressive strength of 520 pounds per square foot at just a 1% deformation. The EPS Geofoam is great for this application because of how easy the material is to handle and how easy it is to be installed.
