EPS is used to create molds to form concrete shapes such as columns, counter tops and sinks. It can be used to form parapet caps and other shapes that require greater detail then can easily or economically be produced with other materials.
Concrete Block-outs
Concrete block-outs are typically made of EPS for tilt-up wall panels as well as vertical poured in place applications. The EPS has the necessary compression strength to handle the weight of wet concrete and the pieces are delivered to the jobsite pre-cut and ready to use. After the concrete sets up, the EPS can be easily removed.
EPS is the preferred material of bridge builders for creating the windows in reinforced concrete railings. The EPS forms can be produced to accommodate any shape or size window the engineer requests.
EPS secant wall forms help to simplify the process of laying out and
drilling secant walls.
