Slipform Technique for Stone Concrete

On this project Universal Foam Products provided 3" EPS Sheets at 1.8 pound density per cubic foot as foundation insulation. Our customer located in Burnsville, MN was building a garage out of stone and concrete using the Slipform Technique. The slipform technique helps with a consistent and continuous pouring of the concrete to the moving formwork. The next step is to then work on the walls and build up with the same formwork.

Expanded Polystyrene is a great economical insulating material. The .9 lb density has an R-Value starting at 3.85/inch with the highest density of EPS at 2.85 lb per cubic foot having an R-Value of 4.6/inch.

“Universal Foam Products was our Geofoam supplier for a stadium seating project in New Orleans. The material was delivered on time and cut to size. We installed the project in less than 3 hours with a 4 man crew without cutting a single piece of foam. We look forward to doing more projects with your company in the future.”
