Two lb density EPS is used to create these 6″ thick pads under the steel tanks. The raised pads prevent moisture from accumulating underneath the tanks while insulating the tanks from the slab below. A polyuria coating is used to seal the EPS. The pads range in diameter from 12′ to 16′ and in thicknesses from 2″ top 8″. Universal supplies the expanded polystyrene pads precut and ready to install. The high compression strength of the 2 lb EPS easily carries the load of the full tanks.
