Universal Foam Products supplied custom-cut EPS15 Geofoam for a pool infill project in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The existing pool was filled with EPS15 Geofoam to approximately 10 inches below finished grade, followed by the installation of stone and pavers to create a new usable outdoor space above a basement structure.
Because the Geofoam blocks were precision-cut at our facility, installation was quick and efficient, requiring very little field trimming. By using lightweight EPS15 Geofoam instead of traditional aggregate fill, the contractor was able to significantly reduce the load placed on the structure below while still providing a stable foundation for the finished hardscape.
