A total of 24 blocks of 1 lb density EPS foam were used to construct this private floating dock/walkway in Libby, Idaho.
The docks were originally constructed using some existing float drums the owner had along with the purchase of 16 blocks of EPS, but after removing the dock sections for the winter, the drums were replaced with additional EPS floats because the owners learned “those we made using barrels are not as moveable as the ones made with foam”.
As you can see from the photos the docks were not only enjoyed by the human owners but also by their pets and a visiting “kayaking raccoon”.
